Real-World
Applications:
LCD Keypad and Arming/Disarming:
This is a great and simple interface
that allows for so many things. You can
have the system programmed to react
differently based on who is coming in,
the kids or the wife, and have the house
respond accordingly. Lighting a pathway
form the mudroom to the kitchen once the
system recognizes who is home. Even
leaving the house, arm the system and it
goes to work. Setting the HVAC system
and lighting to the "away" modes that we
have planned. The options are limited
only by your imagination.
Wireless/ In-wall Touch Screens:
Will allow you to check and control the
complete status of all of the integrated
home systems. Perfect for before bed and
making sure the security system is ready
and no doors or windows are still open,
making sure the outdoor lights are on
and the indoor lights are off and that
the thermostats are set to their evening
temperatures. With the wireless touch
screen you can check and control the
house or even browse the music library
on a big 8" panel.
Make
your computer the primary: Let
the kitchen desk area or office serve as
your home base. This computer runs my
whole home. Not only does it keep the
family calendar, but it serves as our
hub and control center for the whole
house by running the software. We can do
it all from the laptop; set the
schedules for when we are home or away,
control the music system for parties,
set the lights, everything gets done
from this most convenient location.
Phone control: Often
overlooked until you really need it.
This is one of the most effective and
incredible ways the integrated and
automated home can be controlled. Use
this interface from anywhere to monitor
and control your home. Set things in
motion with the push of a button, dial
into the home system and with a few
presses you are in total control of any
connected system. You can check the
alarm, set the HVAC system for your
arrival, set the lighting system to
vacation mode if you decide to stay
another night or even let the
housekeeper in and disarm the alarm for
her, even arm it when she leaves. This
can be very useful when you need it and
is included out of the box. Gives you
all the control you will need in an
emergency or just because.

How
big are the touch screens?
The in wall touch screens have a 5.7"
screen while the wireless have an 8"
screen.
How are the touch screen and LCD
keypad different?
The major difference is in ease of use.
Both consoles can control security,
lighting, HVAC, and run macro commands.
The touch screens are able to control
audio where the keypads cannot.
Where should the touch screens be
placed?
In most homes we place one screen in the
kitchen and one in the master bedroom.
However, this is a guideline, not a
rule. We can place them anywhere you
like.
How many touch screens can I have?
We are able to have 8 screens per home.
How many copies of the software do I
need?
One. The snap-link or web-link software
license is per system, not per computer.
You are able to load the software onto
each computer in your home.
